Hi all, My application orginally need to print document to some printer. It
works fine until that my boss have a new requirement as follows: Documents need to be printed on only a subset of printers(all printers
are installed at SERVER), in order words, the 'PrintDialog' need to
display this subset of printers. As I orginally use TPrintDialog in the whole application. Besides
rewrite all the 'printing related object', is there any simpler way
to suit this requirement? Thanks for any reply. Mark

1st.
Listing all printers which installed in your system(that may include other sharing printers by some servers).
2nd.
Let end user chose one of them which listed from above way as a default printer.
3rd.
From your print dialog print them directly. please chech out some links as follow which can teach you how to achieve your goal.

Stallion, The problem is that if I let the user to choose from default window's
printer list, there is no way to control which printer they use. The ideal solution is to display a "print dialog" that display a
"subset" of default window's printer list. For example, default window's printer list contain 8 printers PRT1 to
PRT 8, ideal print dialog need to display PRT1 to PRT 3. Thanks Mark Leung

In my opinion, the solution is still the same:
1st.
You still need to get all printers which installed in your system by using printers property.
2nd.
Accroding to the user ID( or what ever), adding specific printer name(which retrived from the printers property) to your "customed" print dialog. That's all. -----------------------------------------------
Creation is the fundation of promotion.
